Tyto the Unabated

Tyto the Unabated is a legendary hero among the fey. A knight of old times from the Summer Court, he is easily the most well-known warrior from the Order Strigis. As a young squire in the Summer Court, he gained renown throughout the many wars between the seelie and the unseelie. Through these military campaigns he gained a great deal of experience with fighting the unseelie, as well as accolades. In times of peace this expertise was plied as he was often tasked with punishing malicious archfey in their infinite schemes. Succeeding in all of these missions, he soon gained popularity and veneration which elevated him to the status of an archfey.   At the height of his career, tragedy struck the celebrated folk hero when the Great Bufo Toad devoured the home village of Tyto and took with it a large portion of the Order Strigis' next generation of recruits. Enraged from the loss of his homeland, Tyto didn't even wait for his orders to retaliate against the evil beast. After a long battle which left both archfey severely injured, the druids of the Summer Court managed to trap the Great Bufo Toad by creating the Labyrinthine Swamp. Mad from rage and filled with vengeful fury, Tyto spurned his remaining duties in the Summer Court and plunged into the Labyrinthine Swamp after his nemesis as soon as his injuries were healed. Now lost, both physically and mentally, Tyto continues his unending crusade as he charges through the twisting corridors of the swamp, slaying the nseelie servants of his enemy in a neverending quest for revenge.

The Roosting Moon

The Roosting Moon is a holiday that takes place on the full moon of Lunos' Shine. During the day people remember all the missing persons in their villages and tell stories about them and make their favorite foods or participate in their favorite activities. At dusk, lanterns are placed outside their houses and burn all night long. It is said that if one of the missing follows the moon on that night, they will be guided back to that lantern. This tradition takes its roots from Lunos worshipping fey of the Summer Court attempting to use the moon to guide Tyto the Unabated out of the Labyrinthine Swamp.
