Introduction to Oxendour Academy

Legendary university housed in Oxendour City. Founded by High Elves shortly after the last cataclysm, Oxendour academy is the premier source of education found in the world. A house of learning for all subjects, but particularly magically focused. This is where nearly all Wizards and Bards learn their craft.  

Organization

The school has a rigid hierarchy of leadership. At all times, there are 3 who hold the title of Arcanist Prime. There are 9 who hold the title of Arcanist Major. There are 27 who hold the title of Arcanist Minor. There are 81 who hold the title of Arcanist Initiate, though many more are groomed for the role without officially adopting the title.  

Coursework

Students at Oxendour Academy spend most of their time buried in books or practical exercises. The classes taught in the Academy are demanding, but instructors take special care to tailor to specific students' needs. Students will be challenged and strained, this is a universal truth. But few will fail their courses or be dropped from the academy entirely; instead, instructors will delicately craft specific lessons and experiences to ensure student success.  

An Academy at War

Some of the academy staff has been pulled for the war effort. Though theoretically apolitical, the academy being housed within the walls of Oxendour City means that its patrons are expected to respond to pressures or threats to the wider city. Seeing as King Einar has made his war a public focus, the academy has been forced into supporting the war from the side of Oxendour. Despite this forced support, many of the staff called into service have set serious limitations to their magic services rendered.
