The Hypothetical Academy
The secretive academy of Arcana Distortio has a past draped in mystery, and the present as rare individuals are aware on where the actual academy is. A sort of a magical boogeyman for other academies, there have been rumors of Arcana Distortios members having a presence in other magical academies. While their goal remains a mystery, other academies have concluded a major uprising in many wizards capable of skillful illusion magic. The delicate (possible) members of Arcana Distortio have never given other academies any reason to seek for them or their academy, nor to interrupt whatever they are performing so the exact location has remained a mystery even from the best scriers of Arcana Omen.Demographics
Suspicion
Many academies have experienced various levels of infiltration from wizards highly skilled in the use of illusion magic. These few cases have left nearly no races and have always presented themselves with false faces and false identities. Never stealing, nor murdering or saboteuring, the very existance of the Shadow Academy was brought forth at a meeting of the Gemstone Realms by the Arch-Seer of Arcana Omen. While still gathering proof, nothing worthwhile suggests that these infiltrations have been linked. Atleast nothing substantial outside of the claims of Arcana Omen.
