Calimahtimë

Military: Battle

1988 AS

Following the sacking of Lirionostarë all 3 tribes of elves got together and a performed a Lírilindë like never before. It was a plea to the nature of the world itself to come to their aid.

The destruction of Lirionostarë, the great Valaraith city, had brought the elves to their knees. The evil spirits had gained the upper hand and seemed to be unstoppable. The tribes of the elves gathered together and held a great council to discuss their fate. They knew that they were outmatched and outnumbered, but they refused to give up hope.   It was then that a desperate idea was born. The elves decided to sing a song that was so pure and powerful that it would reach the very heart of the world itself. They gathered together and sang for three days and three nights, pouring all of their love and sorrow into the song.   As the last notes of the song faded away, the world around them began to change. The winds picked up, and the ground shook. The trees around them seemed to bend and sway in time with the music. The clouds above them grew dark and heavy, and lightning crackled in the sky.   Suddenly, there was a great roar, and a massive wave of water swept over the battlefield, washing away the evil spirits and their foul creations. The earth beneath them split open, and great vines and roots burst forth, ensnaring the enemy and dragging them down into the depths.   The elves watched in awe and wonder as the forces of nature rose up to defend them. It was a terrible and beautiful sight, and they knew that they had witnessed something truly miraculous. This was later refered to as The Great Fury of the Earth.   In the end, the evil spirits were defeated, and the world returned to its natural state. The elves were forever changed by the experience, and they knew that they would never forget the power of their song or the might of the world's natural forces.   Previous event
