Discovery at High Peak

Discovery, Exploration

24 AM

A pivotal event in the annals of human exploration in the new continent was the accidental discovery of an ancient site at High Peak, an elevated vantage point in the heart of the great mountain range. Known today as the Old Camp, the site was discovered by mineral prospectors during a routine expedition. However, what they found inside the cave bore little resemblance to anything they had seen before.

The remains of the site were immediately recognized as the remnants of a previous encampment, but its peculiar arrangement set it apart from the human sites familiar to the prospectors. Elaborately designed tools of unknown minerals were scattered around, far more delicate and complex than any human design of the time. Imprints of a strange, lightweight fabric were found pressed into the soil, unlike any material known to humans, suggesting a possible form of ancient tent or shelter.   The cave's location itself seemed deliberately chosen for its strategic view of the surrounding landscape, suggesting a level of planning and foresight.   The discovery of the Old Camp baffled the community. Some considered it as proof of divine intervention, others speculated about a long-lost human civilization with knowledge far surpassing their own. The most audacious theory was the existence of an entirely different race, sharing their continent in a time long forgotten.   Regardless of interpretation, the Old Camp triggered a wave of exploration and curiosity among the settlers. The artifacts were carefully collected, becoming the first antiquities of a past the humans did not yet fully understand. This mystery provided a glimpse of a different era and whispered of a story yet untold - a story that promised to hold the key to understanding the rich and enigmatic history of their newfound home.   Previous event
