Laŏc (Lay-ock)

The arrow looses from its bow, the snare whips its prey in its clutches, the blood drains from the fallen, and its meat feeds its predator.
All creatures must eat. The hunger came, and mortal creatures found the easiest way to satiate themselves in the flesh of others. The feeling would also return though, and the sacrifices began to derive a blessing from the gods. Mortal men would offer up blood and flesh of those the beasts they had slain and offer it upon the only name they could think of during the insanity of hunger; Laŏc.

Divine Goals & Aspirations

Laŏc seeks for the world of mortal men to be carnal, and savage. He believes that men should have to fight to stay alive, every moment of their existence. However, this is not Laŏcs ultimate goal, instead seeking the ability to slay the only thing that mocks his existence; Malkorith.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

A god birthed from Narohtil and Ishmaar, Laŏc was not brought about in the same manner as other Soges Gods. Instead, he was entirely fabricated from the ambient concepts of Narohtils mind. Requesting the powerful flesh from the vile aspect of Doppelt, Malevolence knew that it's most prized creation would do great things with the flesh, but still punished Narohtil for his arrogance in believing himself worthy of asking Malevolence of anything. In giving Narohtil his boon, Malevolence took his tongue, so that he could no longer make such arrogant requests.
Taking the dark mass of flesh, Narohtil shaped it into the dark shape of the elves, knowing that it would flatter Ishmaar, who had created the original dark elves. Once the form was created, Narohtil had his followers sacrifice the skin of a thousand deer, and made a cloak for Laŏc to enrage Kvinatar.
Once Laŏcs form was complete, Narohtil presented it to Ishmaar, and asked for his blessing upon the new god. Ishmaar, embroiled in his conflict with Vicnor, delighted in the chance to drive his people into more conflict against all other mortal men. Blessing Laŏc with the domain of The Hunt, Traps, Butchering and Stalking, Ishmaar bestowed Laŏc with the worst domains he felt he had.
Overhearing only part of his siblings work, Malkorith inquired about his kins activity. Taking advantage of his powerful brothers ignorance, Narohtil lied about his intentions, and told Malkorith that he was creating an avatar for Malkorith so that he could go amongst mortal men and teach them the true ways of strength. Being fooled by Narohtil, Malkorith offered up a boon of immense strength upon Laŏc.

With his creation complete, Narohtil demanded 10,000 sacrifices from his followers, telling them that they needed to be coated in the blood of an animal recently slain. Once Narohtil had the souls of his followers, he amalgamated them into one powerful force, and bestowed it upon the form of his creation, and dubbed it "Laŏc."
With Laŏc born, his influence immediately began to permeate the mortal realm, now filling all mortal creatures with a deep hunger that would grow fiercer and fiercer until they were driven to eat the beasts of the land, or in extreme instances, each other. Looking upon the land of mortal men as they began to hunt, Laŏc felt a deep sense of disgust; not because they were hunting, nor because they felt a hunger, but instead because of how pathetically they did so. The strength and power that flowed through Laŏc made him feel as if anything could be slain at his hand, in any method he saw fit. However, the mortal men needed tools, magic, unnecessary tactics. This made Laŏc feel as if those blessed with the hunger were unworthy of its divine satiation.

Shortly after the hunger had begun to cause mortal creatures to kill each other, Narohtil came to Kvinatar to mock him, and was pleased at the anguish it caused the rampant creator. And then, when Kvinatar had created predatory beasts to stave off mortal men, Narohtil had his followers sacrifice one in his name, and offer him the skull. Then, once they had done so, Narohtil took the bone and fashioned it into a mighty helm, to which he gifted to Laŏc.

unlike the hatred bore towards Laŏc from Kvinatar for his unwitting existing causing such sorrow to his creations, the other gods felt no way kindly or negatively about the new god, except for Vicnor, who knew of Ishmaars part in his creation, and thusly avoided the god of hunts.
However, there was one who found pride in Laŏc. Malkorith, albeit tricked into giving his blessing, was remarkably fond of that which he assisted in creating, and saw the promise in the newly formed god. And while Laŏc felt no way towards Malkorith, and even found him lesser, he tolerated the powerful god.

Failures & Embarrassments

Laŏc succeeds in most endeavors he finds himself in, but comes upon an ever persistent obstacle that causes a great rage inside of himself. On several occasions, The Stalker has hunted the mountainous god, Malkorith, attempted to show that he is unworthy of the domains that he lords over.
However, no weapon, trap, power, or attack was powerful enough to even draw the tough gods curiosity. Even attempted killing merely turned into another lesson that Malkorith attempted to instill upon Laŏc.
Every failure has not been a new technique for Laŏc, instead being a great shame, and embarrassment that cuts deep into his pride.
