Wyldespeakers
'Moving through the woods, silent, tracking, listening, the goblin war band having seemed to disappear in these last few days after their last raid. All attempts to find and track them had failed. So now Valarie had been called in for her....unique talents. She looked ahead, watching her guide, a little weasel moving through the leaf litter, letting out little confirming squeaks and calls occasionally, reassuring Valarie that they were still on the trail. A thin lipped grin snaked onto Valarie's face as she heard the tones of goblins not to far from her, maybe two hundred-three hundred meters, clearly camped, believing they were safe. As she let out a shrill bird whistle, hearing six or seven calls back. They thought they were safe, but no where is safe from the Wylde-speakers'
Composition
Manpower
Rough estimates put this intelligence apparatus at 2500-3000.
Equipment
Survival equipment, their wild knowledge, connection, and strange ability to seemingly communicate with animals. Beyond that various weapons, armors or whatever else would work given the operation, cover story (if required) or otherwise.
Weaponry
They take whatever is necessary and useful for any given assignment.
Vehicles
Again, depends on the operation.
Structure
The chain of command, as one would expect of a intelligence apparatus, is not well known. Even less so than most, given their disconnected, wilderness approach to intelligence. But some seem to believe that one of the druids of the Wolven Garrison must have to be in charge of the Wyldespeakers, but naturally not much more is known
Tactics
Again, it will depend on the mission and objective. They find the tactic suited to the goal, they are exceedingly adaptable.
Training
Not much is known about their training, but it is guessed, given the skill set known in the few times they've ever been caught and fought, that they must train a lot in the wilds. The way animals and the environment aids them so much and so often that it again hints at some sort of druidic influence
Logistics
Logistical Support
Anyone who is in this intelligence core is exceedingly self sufficient. They just need a general briefing on the area of the operation, some basic knowledge of customs, cuisine, traditions, trade, and the political situation. With that, they are their own logistical support.
Auxilia
Extraction missions are few and far between, though they have happened.
Upkeep
They are a black budget affair, so no real kept budget on the government books.
Recruitment
None really know how they choose their recruits, or what the training process is, other than what must be an absurd amount of survival and wilderness training. All that is known, or guessed anyway, is that every recruit is given a whole new identity, a false one for their own country, besides the false ones they will use on assignments. Moved away from their families. They disappear.
History
Valewyr has kept this group such a deep secret, all that is truly known is they provide intelligence abroad and domestically. There aren't even any sort of decent guesses as to a year of founding for the Wyldespeakers.
