Historical Details

Background

This document marks an era of revitalization and prosperity for the southern nations that had previously been unthinkable, and allows them to better compete and keep up economically with their northern counterparts. Covering for each other's resource failings with their resource strengths, the southern nations quickly rise now to insure the gap in economic and military power between themselves and their northern counterparts does not become unreasonable.

History

This agreement is quite young only now halfway to its second century. But already the boons have proven its worth to all the member nations as their more resource heavy and favorable climates have seen a meteoric rise to their influence, as they quickly find their relevance suddenly equal to their northern neighbors for the first time in centuries.

Public Reaction

This treaty is loved by all, as it has brought them back to the fore, allowed them to start exerting equivalent influence to those nations in the north.

Legacy

Now the Northlands cannot bully them any longer economically or militarily or indeed politically, as if you pick a fight with one, you pick it with all.

Term

Perpetuity, but once every three years the leaders of each nation will travel to one of their capitals (alternating) and spend two weeks together, discussing how things have gone the last three years, going over things with their economic advisers and if necessary, making alterations to the document.
