Hand of Glahor

The Hand of Glahor is the highest religious rank within the Church of Tareh. This rank is held for life unless the current Hand of Glahor decides that they wish to stand down from their role. If this happens, the longest-serving Grand Priestess becomes the next Hand of Glahor until a new one can be elected amongst the Church. When the old Hand of Glahor dies, the Council of Nine gathers together at the Church of Tareh headquarters in the capital city, Worrom.   The Hand of Glahor has complete power over the entire realm and the Church of Tareh. Their word is final and none are able to question their orders. To question the orders of the Hand of Glahor is to question Glahor himself, and such a treasonous act is punishable by death. The only people that can try to request that the Hand of Glahor chooses a different path is the Council of Nine
