Crystalized Magic
Different sources of magic occasionally interact creating collections of raw magic in crystalline forms.
Star Stone
Star stones are made when Aether and Mana interact high in the atmosphere, where they crystalize and fall to the ground in a streak of light. They are colored a azure with red highlights and twinkle like the stars in the night sky. While it took much experimentation, it was eventually discovered that the size of the stone determines what level spell it can be used for, and the cut of the stone determines what school of magic it can be used for, and lastly the whether it's flawless or contains imperfections can determine whether or not the spell is empowered or weakened than standard. Fortunately, there have never been any star stones capable of casting a 9th level spell.Sea Stone
Sea stones are made where Mana and Ffyllw interact, crystalizing into a stone with the texture of coral. A sea stone is teal in color with burnt orange highlights, and they glow with a pulsing light much like the ebb and flow of the tide. While Star stones are rare to find, Sea Stones are more so given more often than not you have to dive to the sea floor to find them. Like Star Stones, their size, cut, and perfection determines various traits of the magic that can be unleashed. Fortunately, no sea stone has ever been found capable of casting a 9th level spell.Storm Stone
Storm stones are made when Aether and Ffyllw interact inside the clouds where they crystalize. This form of crystalized magic is found more rarely than star or sea stones, and it is theorized while some do fall to the ground, many remain floating in the clouds that spawn them, making these the rarest forms of crystalized magic. A storm stone is colored purple with golden highlights, and it glows with an erratic pulse, like the flash of lightning. Like Star and Sea stones, the size, cut, and perfection determines the various traits of magic that can be unleashed.Properties
