Terran Union
The Terran Union is a confederacy of Terran colonized planets within the Orion Spur.
Structure
Member worlds of the Union are largely left to manage themselves as they see fit. Each member sends representatives to the Union Senate where joint decisions are made and Union policy is decided. Members also pay taxes to the Union to fund interstellar infrastructure and defense initiatives.
Military
The Terran Union collects taxes and volunteers from member worlds to support the Terran Armed Forces, which includes a significant armada of starships.
