SC 25 Reading Challenge and Wrap up

After I dropped off my dirty laundry and regaled my family with funny stories, I found myself contemplating my camp experience. First, I must recommend not apartment hunting and challenging yourself to write twice the number of articles from the previous year. I think this colored my experience this year. I did get a sense of accomplishment, which is what I was after. Nevertheless, I found the prompts harder and generally found my writing more of a slog. I can say that having camp was a welcome escape from the worry of suddenly needing to move.

For articles, I read the following:

ile des murmures by hellay

Urbana al-Sona by mezzopatricia

K'Tharr by TAHJ1RVT

Keeper by Darth_Nikolas

Light Speakers by Fearandramen

Highstairs by Moondare

Kano'ta by Evilyn Carnate

The Mistress of the Labyrinth - An Ever Changing Place by Arger Growler

Moth Keepers by ThePinkGM

Runesmith by Jester%

and others

Because I believe all the articles written during camp deserve as much foot traffic as possible, I choose articles that didn't have many views for prompts I hadn't answered. I was especially interested in prompts I struggled to come up with an answer. Even though I read far fewer articles than I would have liked due to the moving thing, I was delighted by the different takes each writer came up with.

I think once again I need to better use the fancier tools. While I have gotten much better at variables (lots and lots of variables), I don't use other things like the mention system, out louds, and quotes as much as I could. After reading the articles, I am wondering if I am adding too much detail - Can the grilled cheese just be a grilled cheese? Must I add that it is a mix of cheddar and Munster cheese?

So as to new goals, I have a huge number of stub articles to fill in which seem to be leading to other stub articles. Art, I need to add the pretty to everything. Beyond that I want to add events, at least the major ones, to a timeline. My world cover needs to be finished. Finally, I want to get back to the map I was creating. If I am very, very lucky, I will have half of that done by World Ember and be in a new apartment.
