Administration, Organization, and Finances of the Royal Navy, 4848-5008

Administration, Organization, and Finances of the Royal Navy, 4848-5008 is a book written by [Eldon Marsh](person:8f3f0688-54c8-4670-aafc-2cabb16dc409) in 5026. It is known as an authoritative work on the structure of the Astorian admiralty and has received high praise for its meticulous research and accuracy. It covers details ranging from the beginning of steamships, the introduction of airships to the navy, and the impact of the Veronan-Petrekian War on the fleet. While it sets up the state of the admiralty when King Oswyn assumes the throne, the text does not cover the Coup of 5010 or the navy's role in it. The book is commonly used as a textbook for the Naval Academy, and there's a course on Modern Astorian History at the Royal Hopewell College which also pulls excerpts from the text.   The book was published by Caldwell Brothers Publishing Company and is available in bookstores in most major Astorian cities as loose pages which must be bound separately. Many naval officers own a copy even if they weren't required to purchase it through the Academy. It is unusual that the book was written while Eldon Marsh was only a municipal clerk with no background or ties to the navy. He wrote the book for the layman even though it is most widely associated with the navy.
