History
Scarecrows have been around for quite a time, they were first created as spies for witches to keep eyes on the commonfolk. Afterwards they were slowly used for more varied means, with more and more spellcasters used them for their own unique needs, whether they needed to spread terror, assassinate someone, or just guard over some ground.
They've been known to fuel off whatever can sustain their magical forces, yet many have in common the ability to feast on the emotion of fear itself, many theorize that this was the cause of fae enchantments. People have grown wary of scarecrows over time, and have usually associated them with witchcraft, when in reality, anyone gifted in the art of the arcane can construct one.
