Zhong-She
King Zhong She
The King of Xu, slain at the hand of one of his own generals, Qo Jing. King Zhong-she was not a bad king by any measure, he cared for his people, but more in passing than in earnest. He would oppose any action that might do them harm, but rarely actively pursued any action that would do them good. They were, at the end of the day, his people, and therefore existed to serve him. When he refused to fund Qo Jings plan for a great wall to protect the northern frontier of Xu from the hosre-people, Qo Jing arranged a coup, and executed Zhong-She.
Zhong-she was the second son of King Tian-She, and so was not destined to inherit the throne, but his older brother Wu died unexpectadly before siring any children. As a young prince Zhong-She was quite active, a keen rider and huntsman, and would regulalrly travel around Xu and beyond with his band of companions. It was during these travels that he fathered a daughter, Prescious Jade, who is now the last legitimate heir of the She dynasty.
