Elves

Slender and fine featured, elves are graceful but less robust than humans. Their long lifespan (up to 300 years) means that they seldom hurry to do anything. They are patient and watchful. Elves are part fay in nature, and have a natural affinity for magic that eclipses that of most other mortal races.

Genetics and Reproduction

Elves generally do not begin having families until they are around 100 years old, and rarely have more than two or three children

Growth Rate & Stages

Any Elf under 50 is not fully grown, considered immature and likely to still require the guidance of their parents or their clan. The age of an elf is very hard determine, but their physical faculties will tend to wane as they reach about 250 years of age, whereapon they will tend to adopt a more sedentary lifestyle.

Ecology and Habitats

Elves prefer forest domains, but while wood elves live above ground, sometimes even creating treetop villages, high elves prefer to create great halls beneath the forests, imbued with magic and hidden among the roots of the greatest trees. Unlike dwarves however, high elves are quite happy to spend their time above ground, their halls are simply where they live.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Elves typically eat less meat than other races, and do not have a habit of heavy drinking.
