Rishard Donning

Rishard is a forager who digs for herbs and roots in the Triad lands. He is a man that appears old but is in his mid-forties. A friend of Lucius Vanderlay. He hired Rishard to aid the Yellow Ravens in murdering Peregrine Haldock, thinking he was a man sent from Karn to possibly eliminate him for breaking away from the Red Priests.
Unbeknown to Lucius, two of the group that left with Peregrine were the wards of the High Lord of Hayston, Argyle Parsons. Rishard followed them aboard the cog, the Rachel with his group, the twins, Blake and Donald, from Ankirk for muscle, and a lad, Robin, who was an apprentice and game hunter.
The task looked easy when the cog departed Breeston as the healer looked near dead. The second day after they left Venton, Peregrine had healed miraculously, which made the forager curious and a tad nervous as he kept trying to befriend the group in hopes of them trusting him so his betrayal would be easier.
An argument from a bet between Harwin and the foragers over Edmund's bow skills got heated, which Rishard tried to use as a reason to apologize, offering ale in Billingsley in hopes of easing tensions. He approached them at the Oaken Barrel, but Camille threatened to kill him in the tavern, chasing him away.
He met with Ravens at the town, handing them a message from Drew Vickards to send six men to give them the numbers to ambush the group along the road to Faust. Camille hastily had the group leave before dawn to avoid any eyes upon them.
Rishard caught up with them in Faust at the Oriole, offering the ale after Harwin, Osmond, and Julius were miffed after being sacked by Peregrine, ending their need to accompany them. Two brigands joined his group, which made Harwin and Julius suspicious.
The rounds were disrupted when the other four brigands burst through the tavern and ran up the stairs to kill the healer. Harwin, sensing peril, buried his dirk in Rishard's hand, and they quickly bested the foragers group, killing three of them, including Robin, who was a lad.
Rishard was detained and lost his hand to infection. His testimony under duress convicted him, and he was hanged later.
