Eivar Farnesse

Eivar is a complicated man who is troubled by secrets. Many of his secrets were suppressed, and it was one of those that convicted him into leaving his residence in Karn to travel to North Abingdon.
  Most who know him will say he is moody and difficult to reason with when his mind is made up. He served as a scout and leader of the Shadow Clan, killing many for the usurped King of Nuhr, Alexavier, and has spent the last two decades in exile within the lands of the Priesthood of Karn.
  He left, neglecting to tell his friends, and was willing to leave them behind to start anew to accomplish the task he beset himself. He had hoped to find his nephew Mero to aid him. His guess was that he was foraging between Faust and Lonoke.
  To be sure he didn't waste any time, he decided to find his old friend Lucius Vanderlay, a healer from the Priesthood of Karn, who was stationed in Breeston to record information to keep Magnus, the high priest, informed of events in the Triad.
  He met a troubled Lucius, who was surprised to see him, but his intrusion seemed to startle his old friend and student into a slight discomfort. His visit provided little information, but in leaving his friend, he noticed that Lucius placed a signal outside his dwelling.
  Before Eivar could think, he was ambushed by the Yellow Ravens and killed near the square of the Butcher's Wail Ward. Eivar fought bravely but fell to many bolts from crossbows. He nearly slew a score of men himself, and the bloody scene frightened the residents into knowing the brigands were in the outer wards.
  Mysteriously, his body disappears from the morgue, and the commoners believe he is an angry spirit looking for more to kill. Eivar died hearing an apology from Lucius for betraying him, who couldn't afford for his old master to discover his motives.
  Unknown to everyone, his body was stolen by Peregrine Haldock, who is a Grimm Priest and couldn't afford for Eivar's body to be held and expose Eivar as a Grimm.
  He tried to evoke his last memories with blood magic, but Peregrine retrieved little before he expired. The final memory from Eivar was of a grave. Startling Peregrine to continue Eivar's journey to uncover what was troubling him.
