Edmund Parsons

Edmund was found in the residence of a hired man of Argyle Parsons named Owen Raynes in 2134 near the spring equinox. Owen was a Nuhrish refugee who sought work and was hired the previous winter. The man was unfortunately stabbed from behind and bled out before they could get him to a healer.
Edmund and his older brother Harwin were abandoned by their caregiver shortly after, and Harwin was discovered on a roadside, begging for food for them. Edmund was thought to be of age two, and he and his brother were adopted by Rose and Truitt Parsons, the younger brother of the high steward.
He was educated along with other nobles and suffered slights for being orphans. At an early age, Edmund showed high intellect, progressing far beyond Lord Argyle's children. His uncle let him work a summer with him at age twelve and marveled at how the kid could decipher his accounts and point out every fault his lordship missed.
Argyle let him assist in the records of a smaller counting house that autumn, in which Edmund discovered that a nobleman was skimming from the coffers. By the age of fifteen, he had worked the Hayston warehouses assisting Arthur, Lord Argyle's oldest son, managing the yields going north to Breeston. His skin color prevented him from being assigned a noble title, but Argyle paid him more than any of his hired men and most blood relatives.
Edmund has a close relationship with his older brother. They often argue as both share a stubborn streak and find it hard to back away when they believe they are right. Harwin mocks him for being thin and lacking any confidence around women but will tell anyone out of earshot his admiration for his abilities.
Edmund is very skilled in archery and has embellished on purchasing the best bow he can find. He has read any history about the Triad cities and knows from memory who occupies titles in those cities.
He is fascinated by any Lore, myths, and tales, no matter how ludicrous they may sound. Unfortunately, Edmund has trouble making friends and usually relates with men twice his age. His relationship with his adopted father is stagnant, with his endearment given to his uncle Argyle, Bitters, and his deceased mother, Rose.
When Harwin was arrested in Hayston, Edmund decided to accompany him to Breeston. He knows this is a terrible choice, but he fears his brother could be killed in the strange city if he abandons him. His curiosity about learning how the Guild works fascinates him, but his observance has been underwhelming.
They were attacked on route to Breeston by the Yellow Ravens, and he killed his first man with his bow. He struggled adjusting to the putrid city, but he was goaded by Julius to learn the wards through a commoners eyes, learning how difficult ward life was as Julius taught him some harsh lessons. His pride was insulted, but he also gained a friend, which he never truly had.
A few days after arriving, he along with his brother accepted a job with Julius, protecting Peregrine Haldock to Lonoke. They were followed by foragers who joined members of the Ravens to kill the healer in Faust. The attempt failed leaving Edmund blinded, but to the healers surprise he was regaining his sight.
Edmund was seduced in Lonoke by Camille, who was under the orders of Peregrine to get some of his blood for him to analyze. The encountered angered his brother so he pushed them to leave the port city since he was healed. As they bickered in a tavern, Osmond found Mero who agreed to help them to arrive back to Breeston faster.

The man took them through Loreto, but the trip ended in disaster as they agreed to help the frightened people who were confined by rabid hounds, turned by sorcery to attack them. While treed, a limb snapped, and Osmond fell to the earth. The others joined in the fray, and Osmond died, while the others were fatally injured.
He awakened from sleep, half healed and discovering that he and Harwin was given up for dead. The miracle as it was called by Etric, inspired the Loreton people and even Edmund was surprised that no damage was among his flesh. As he waited for Julius to heal, who was mangled, Edmund brokered a deal for goods, mainly ale for the sacrifice made for the Loreton people.

They are currently in Breeston, and he is aiding Julius in buying an Inn to begin a lucrative venture.
