Drew Vickards is the current Chamberlain of the City and answers to the orders of the Guild. He was appointed by the deceased Falkland Breeston a decade ago by a bribe, like all appointed positions, as the Guild cares little about city affairs.
He looks like a doting grandfather, according to Lucius Vanderlay, appearing meek and unassuming at first glance but hiding cruelty only witnessed by friends and the people he dictates through his position.
The man is a secret to the commoners and born outside the walls. He is an ex-brigand and grifter, who has insulated himself by appointing undeserving Ward Bosses for loyalty.
He is using the dereliction of the Guild and the unrest within the city to organize a coup under a shadow group named the Yellow Ravens, supported by a hidden member in the nobility to supplant Aristotle Breeston as Chamberlain for a position among the elite, bringing with him his cronies Thad Griffin and Dillard Reese.
His connections with Ankirk and mercenaries are providing soldiers who are terrorizing the roadsides and citizens, with the corruption reaching other appointed men within the city.
