Luendai, the Living City

The Living City

  Constructed/Grown by the elves in a time when the humans of Everia were still across the ocean the Living City stands as testament to a race that understands the true nature of the worlds eco system.   Enormously round trunks that have grown into an impenetrable wall act as the bastion. From without the forest engulfs the ancient city on all sides making it hard to discern where the city begins and the forest ends. One could simply walk below the this relic of the Elvin kingdom as it weaves its way in wood and vines through the forest above like an endless skywalk.   Even decades after its abandonment it lights up every night from magics long forgotten. As the years have passed the lights have slowly died out as the magic consumes itself. With no Keepers to maintain its secrets the city slowly but surely is passing into obscurity the same as the elves that once lived here.   With no one remaining to guard the city it is interesting that looters and adventurers alike haven’t plundered its depths for anything the elves left behind or for any secrets this magnificent tree top city still holds.
