The Last War was perhaps the most devastating war to involve Aresia in the Second Age. Named retrospectively "The Last War" after a quote by Sedia's then-king following its resolution, it was one of the bloodiest, but most innovative times in the Known World's history.

The Second Age is the current era of history, and was defined by Cleric of Ellene's Celestial Clergy, Claudia Marriarch, in her philosophical attempt to define time and history in a more logical way. She coined the term and began the Starkeepers and later, the great Astrellos Library and Archives. The Start of the Second Age marks the start of the use of the Elleneic Calendar System, the system used to measure years and eras today, and hopefully for the rest of history extending into the future.
