Attuner

Attuners are an officially recognized group who gather to discuss and refine the concepts of magic. Some see them as spiritualists, and others as philosophers. Like ancient philosophers they gather in various public locations open to all and discuss matters of humanity, and beingness.
  Rather than being for, or against, either magic or technology, this group feels that both have their place in the Universe and that it should be a life goal to find the balance and harmony between the two. Rejecting either is to reject the whole.
  Discussions can, at times become heated. As the meetings are held in public locations they often get fundamentalists for every group imaginable attending meetings; the technologists, the mystics, the zealots, etc. The Attuners embrace this discourse. "If dissenters are not allowed to give voice to their concerns, we will never find true attunement," is the statement often used.
  Due to the sometimes turbulent environments of the meetings, they tend to meet in community centers, schools and libraries and are often asked to hire security to ensure that public areas are not destroyed by confrontation. They happily agree to any requirements since their goal is unification and not destruction, though turbulence is often a part of that goal and they are also pragmatic.
  This group is growing in popularity and most see it as more of a philosophy and less of a spiritual path. They do not have an official religious status in countries where that is a standard practice. Despite their goals, and their own vision, some do still consider it a religion and follow it as such. The Attuners do not comment on this, only saying, 'we each get to pick our own path to harmony and cohesion."
  Attuners can be found in almost every profession, and there are also those who are Attuners as a profession, leading meetings and writing treaties on the beliefs.
