Rail Gun Powered Street Luge

Hello boy and girls, it is another amazing day on the stiffling hot streets of London UK 2087. Sweltering it is and not a bloody pub nearby for a cool refreshing beverage as the power is currently being rationed yet again. God save the Queen. Yeah right.   So let me tell you what some enterprising criminal scum, oops enterprising and creative youths have come up with. They  went out and built what they are calling the Rail Gun Powered Street Luge. It would seem that having found, not stole,  a few crates of military grade personal rail gun rifles that they used their power packs and rigged them up to a street luge. The rail guns create a miniature artificial gravity well which gives the street luge momentum. This allows our fine outstanding youths to get around our fair city and lovely green land with ease. Yet before I get too far ahead, allow me your humble narrator to explain.   A rail gun uses a pair of parallel rails to propel a high  velocity projectile. Our young engineers rigged these rails to accelerate the ball bearing within the wheels of the street luge to give it forward momentum. They have been able to obtain speeds of up to 120 kilometers per hour.    A street luge is a low lying sled, rather much like an oversized skate board. It is riden by laying down on it and letting gravity pull you down a slope. The sport of street luge started in Southern California, pre California Free State.    Our fine young esquires and ladies that utilize these newly minted luges use them to great advantage. Slipping out from between parked cars they ride underneath Her Majesty's distribution lorries and set gridlock jammers which allow a rigger to take control of the lorry in order for it's contents to be liberated for the needy masses of the containment zone and other localities which suffer misfortune. Of course they also take to sport and race each other while causing havok and mischief throughout the city.
