My Hero
It was a bright day as the hands of Big Ben struck fifteen. Where upon I found myself to be in a most dire situation, for, some sorry excuse of a terrorist decided at that moment to commit a bomb attack on Westminister Bridge. All I could do was to clutch my little plushie kitten Mister Big Eyes in fear, for, I was rather frightened.
This rude and unseemly person used a delivery bike to avoid the bridge traffic to reach the center. Stopping in a group of foreign tourists, the figure began to make a loud speech in which complaints were levied against Her Majesty's government. Accusations of discrimination, racism, cultural imperialism and oppression. Opening their coat the figure revealed an explosive device wrapped about their torso and waist.
This is when, in a panic the crowd surged in all directions. Most along the pavement, knocking me down, others into vehicular traffic causing the drivers to swerve, causing accidents. This near instantly attracted the attention of the security forces from the nearby Palace of Westminster who quickly came to deal with the event.
Having been knocked to the ground, I was worried at first about scuffs and bruises to my knee, then my clothing and as to my comfort buddy Mister Big Eyes. I quickly snatched him up and held him close. He made me feel so much better. Though as I looked at him, for some reason, I do not understand, I could not or did not hear the shouts from the security forces to clear the area. I must have been petrified.
The bomber I later learned from the Evening Post was in possession of a great deal of illegal cyberware. The likes of which only the Ministry of Defense is licensed to have as it is issued to our lovely soldiers who proudly serve Her Majesty's government. It must have been stolen. I can only presume this is as to why the bullets fired by the security forces had no effect.
Then right before the nasty bomber turned himself into an unmentionable mist, one of the security officers saw me and dived to cover me with his body. His armor protecting the both of us. He shielded me from the blast by doing this. He looked into my eyes and I into his, in this he became my hero.
