Metropolitan Underground Special Police

The oh so wonderful London tube. You know it, you love it. Nevermind the oppressive heat during the summer, or the bitter damp during the winter. You can now in 2087 feel more secure in your person and with your property, for, Her Majesty's government has permitted the Lord Mayor of London to expand the Metropolitan Police with a special unit of Nosferatu. This new unit known as the Metropolitan Underground Special Police was inspired by the sucessful Nosferatu Police of the Paris Catacombs.   Rest assured you will be quite safe so long as you obey the law and lawful orders of the MUSP. Firstly each officer or detective inspector will be accompanied by two uninfected officers who will be responsible for taking those arrested to the surface for detainment and questioning. The MUSP has offices in converted former deep air raid bunkers. These are generally off limits to civilians except for solicitors and barristors interviewing officers prior to trial dates for accused criminals.   There have been protests over the creation of the MUSP, with the primary concerns being the spread of Human Meta-Human Vampiric Virus. As reported there are several strains of HMHVV, the Bruckner-Langer strain which creates Nosferatu can only be spread if the Nosferatu allows it. A Nosferatu can choose to infect a person or not. With regards to vampires requiring periodic feeding upon humans or meta-humans, a Nosferatu has the advantage of being able to go for longer periods between required feedings. Nosferatu also retain their mental faculities unlike other sufferers of HMHVV who lose their intellect and often become mindless rage filled killers.   While the primary duties of the MUSP are to assist in the general day to day public safety measures undertaken by the London Underground, the MUSP will when necessary be tasked to stopping smuggling and the movement of contraband materials through the underground. It may be a blessing that the Nosferatu have their unique abilities to more easily move about the  underground. These special abilities being dependent upon the individual officer.    Of secondary note is that volunteers are being screened for blood donations to the MUSP blood bank.
