Hobgoblins

Hobgoblins of the Sixth World are one of many persecuted branches of meta-humanity within the Middle East and greater Islamic sphere. Most of the prejudice comes from the more conservative branches, in particular Shi'ite sects. Hobgoblins are mostly of Arab and Central Asian decent, and in the early days after the Awakening and Goblinization they were driven out and forced into exile. Many countries as well as corporate entities recognize Hobgoblins as having refugee status. Sadly though some agencies do not.   Hobgoblins are a metavariant of orks. The are shorter and of a slighter build than orks. They have a pale green tint to their skin. Instead of enlarged canines, they have a mouth full of smaller sharp teeth. Every tooth is an incisor, hobgoblins do not have molars. Hobgoblins have a narrow jaw, larger than average ears, dark beady almost solid black eyes that allow them to see in dimmer light and see further in twilight conditions. Many presume their appearance is in part why they recieve so much negative reactions from others.   Most hobgoblins can be found living in refugee camps in the Free Kurdistan zone where they are employed as mercenaries fighting against both of the Turkish governments. Others can be found in the corporate enclave of Constantinople again serving as mercenaries in one of the private corporate armies for hire. Hobgoblins have also been known to form their own units and sign on to participate in the bi-annual Desert Wars.   There are few hobgoblins in Europe. The Neo-Templars of the Catholic Church organized a resistance to allowing Muslim refugees of any sort entering Europe after the Second Euro Wars, when the New Islamic Jihad invaded from the Southeasten quarter of Europe by way of the Balkan countries. The few that can be found live is squalid refugee centers and labor camps eeking out a living as best they can. Unfortunately these few tend to engage in criminal activities which paint the overall population in a bad light.   Perhaps the future will grant these unfortunate souls an opportunity to return to their place of birth and start over anew.
