The Raven Queen
"A good name is worth more than precious ointment; and the day of one's death is better than the day of one's birth. Sadness is worth more than laughter: for by sadness the heart is made wise. For wisdom is one defense, and money another: but knowledge is that which grants the riches of wisdom."
The Raven Queen is the Goddess of Death, Memory, and Secrets. Her primary charge is to preserve the natural state of death. Undeath is an abomination, and is an insult to both nature and to the Matron of Death. From her Palace of Memory in the Night Realm, she catalogues and records all the memories of perished mortals. She demonstrates the power of secrets through the keeping of her name unknown to anyone.

Divine Symbols & Sigils
Most temples merely use the raven as a symbol of her blessing. The few illustrations of her for temples portray a tall, pale woman wrapped in dangling black linens, with her face obscured by a white porcelain mask and her onyx-black hair straight and never-ending. Those who say they've encountered the Raven Queen describe an all-together different visage: A horrible, grotesque hag, with engorged limbs and flesh; her face hidden in a wicker basket, carrying with her the uncompromising stench of death. It is however anticipated there are many more forms the Goddess of Secrets carries herself in, yet to be seen or discovered. The one thing they all have in common is the obscuring of her face.
Tenets of Faith
Commandments of the Raven Queen:
Death is the natural end of life. There is no pity for those who have fallen.
Share knowledge only as is necessary, for it is knowledge over another that gives real power.
Undeath is an atrocity. Those who would pervert the transition of the soul must be brought down.
Holidays
Followers of the Raven Queen set aside the first day of Winter to the worship of their Matron, which they teach symbolizes the death of the world, with it regaining its life in the Spring. It is also customary since the Sealing of Tiamat to dedicate graves, cemeteries, etc. to her.
