Aeran Crimsonspark
Born expected for greatness, Aeran's skills did not come from natural talent as those around him had wished, but many years of perserverance in self-improvement.

Personal history
Born as Aeran Fenwynn to Fabien and Ignacia Fenwynn, Aeran was the middle child of three siblings. Fabien and Ignacia both deeply valued social notoriety within Mt. Lunia, demending their children to feel the same. Aeran's older brother, Marcel, was naturally gifted in both high society, as well as magic; a fact he and their parents would always make Aeran aware of whenever the opportunity presented itself. His younger sister, Laudia, was likewise gifted at conversation, as well as in the arts, particularly music. She however had much more personal grace than the rest of their family, and was always careful to be the sole voice of support from the Fenwynns toward Aeran. This brought the pair to be emotionally supportive toward one another; though Aeran developed a prickly personality himself which often pushed Laudia away. Nonetheless the two were close, and Aeran was grateful for Laudia's kindness, even when he did not always return it in kind. However Aeran did not share any of the natural talents his siblings had. Skills always came slowly to him. He did however study with great persistence to attempt to make up for this. Though he was never able to do much with magic in terms of spellcasting, he came to learn the mechanics of magic, particularly magic items, especially well. This analytical mind however did not help with his social graces. Often he would unintentionally, or even intentionally when he felt like embarrassing his parents, insult the nobles among the ranks of Mt. Lunia's elite.
Eventually, these shortcomings eventually came to a head: After much gold spent on personal tutoring without the results they had hoped for, Aeran's parents assembled the family, and told Aeran they felt they had done all they could do for him; and that he should leave the family and attempt to make it on his own. Aeran was in disbelief. His heart burning until his skin over his whole body felt like pins and needles. His heartbeat blaring in his ears to where he felt weightless. Anger, embarrassment, and deep sadness all welling up into an emotion unlike any he had felt. He looked to his siblings for support. Marcel, though obviously stunned by the "suggestion", abided his parents wishes as he knew they wanted. Laudia, however, felt equally betrayed; and railed against his parents for such a repugnant remark. Aeran, seeing most of his family did not want him there, in his burning anger began packing his things in stunned, angry silence. Laudia beginning to cry, pleading that their parents not go through with this, attempted to stop Aeran from leaving. However, in his mind there was nothing left for him here. He took his belongings and departed.
Aeran made his way west from Lunia and the Torendal Valley to the Asmark Mountains and its nation of Ashguard. He made ends meet trading goods, selling off many of the possessions he had brought with him from his former home. Having reached Tycheron, he impressed a local enchanter with both his knowledge of magic items and his silver tongue.
Because despite not living up to his parents expectations and the high society of Mt. Lunia, Aeran had in truth developed quite formidable persuasive abilities when it came to more common groups of people.
It was here, working in this magic shop, that Aeran would meet Chad Embergaze; one of the mighty heroes that had slain Tiamat and freed the world from Her draconic empire. For some reason known only to himself, Chad took a liking to Aeran and would return to the shop frequently to talk with Aeran. Eventually, Chad said that he would not be able to come by as frequently, but being appreciative of Aeran's company the past many weeks, he gifted Aeran his prized sword: Solvren - The Silver Flight. It was soon after this time that Aeran received his invitation to the Thieves Guild from Mask. It is in his adventures with the Thieves Guild that Aeran unfortunately was killed in action, fleeing from guards after an operation gone wrong. For a more complete recounting of Aeran's adventures with the Thieves Guild, please read the WorldAnvil page 'The Thieves Guild'.
However, some days after Aeran had passed away, the other members of the Thieves Guild returned to the grave they buried Aeran in, and they noticed someone at his grave. They discovered it was Aeran's sister, Laudia, who had come to Tycheron looking for Aeran to give him news. What she discovered instead was her worst case scenario, so much so that she never had anticipated that this would be the case. After making the acquaintance of the guild members, Laudia leaned down to Aeran's grave and informed him that,
"Father said that you could come home..."
