Jungle Kobolds
The Jungle Kobolds are a subspecies of Kobolds found throughout the Xaexl jungles of southern Vraelia, both above and below ground, as well a near the coastline. Typically found living in either small tribes, or living among the native Xothgi populations, Jungle Kobolds are well known for their skill at surviving in tropical and aquatic environments, particularly with fishing and trap making.

Jungle Kobolds have shorter, smoother fur and smooth scales of light blue, green, and teal, fin-like ears, and more scales than fur covering their bodies. Additionally, Jungle Kobolds have a build ranging from slight to lean.

Culture and cultural heritage
While Kobolds are well known for their communal spirit, the Jungle Kobolds are especially renowned for their welcoming nature. It's commonly believed that this was due to their frequent interactions with the neighbouring Xothgi, which ranged from trading resources between them, to sharing living spaces with them. This partnership has also played an integral role in the development of many of the skills that allowed the Jungle Kobolds to thrive in their tropical environment, being skilled foragers and fishers, as well as being considered to be some of the best trap-makers among the Kobold race.
