Ithyrian Mage Robe
Robes originally worn by the mages of the Ithyrian Elves. Since the fall of Ithyria, this garment has since been adopted by the High Elves, who use them not only to denote the rank and power of their mages, but to serve as a reminder of their ancient heritage.
Mechanics & Inner Workings
Unlike the robes produced in their likeness today, the original Ithyrian robes were crafted from special materials meant to enhance the flow of Aether within the wearer.
History
The first instances of these robes were crafted to be used by the mages of the Ithyrian Empire, and while many of these robes shared the same blue, purple, and silver colouration seen in much of Ithyrian clothing, there were some variants that used alternate colours to denote specific regions of the empire (these variants are still used by the highest ranked mages of the various Elven Kingdoms today). Though the empire would eventually fracture and fall, these robes would continue to see use among its successors, particularly the High Elves, who would not only use them as signifiers of rank and skill among their own mages, but even influence the everyday wear of their people.
Significance
The Ithyrian Robes are considered to be a symbol of status among High Elf mages, and symbolic of their ties to their Ithyrian Elves.
