Arcaea College
Located within the Myrian city of Lynvael, the Arcaea College is the largest institute for higher learning in the kingdom of Myrell. Originally founded to centralise efforts in studying magic and its related phenomena, the college has since grown to encompass a number of other subjects, including history, alchemy, and the development of Aetheric Mechanisms. Since its founding, the college has grown to become one of the most prestigious academic institutions not just within its homeland of Myrell, but the Human kingdoms of Imera as well.
Structure
Headmaster: The highest office one can hold within the college, responsible for managing the administration of the college, its departments, its personnel, and its resources. They also have the final say in matters related to admittances/dismisals to the college, as well as any research conducted by the staff, and serve as the representative of the college as a whole when dealing with outside parties.
Dean: The highest rank a professor can hold in their field, responsible for overseeing the administration of their respective college facilities, its associatted professors, and any research conducted by them. There are currently five major fields of study within the college:

- Aetheric Studies: Covers the study of magic, its history within the world, and its role in maintaining the balance of the world, and the most well-known of the colleges fields of study. It's also here where mages recieve training in harnessing their spellcasting ability. Currently headed by Dean Isaac Gresham.
- Historical Studies: Covers the study of history, both localised to the continent of Imera and the rest of the world at large, with a particular focus on magic (including the Mage Empires of old and the magical advancements they've made). Currently headed by Dean Faralda Hamet.
- Aetheric Ecological Studies: Covers the study of creatures, flora, and materials tied to magic, both those found in the Mortal Realm and those found in such places as the Fae Realm. Currently headed by Dean Verrel Alden.
- Draconology: Covers the study of Dragons, their ties to magic, and their history within the world. Originally a sub-field of Aetheric Ecological Studies, it has since grown into its own seperate field of study. Currently headed by Dean Ivar Skorrisson.
- Aetheric Sciences and Mechanics: Covers the study of using magically-aligned materials in the creation of Aetheric Mechanisms and various alchemical concoctions. While a relatively newer branch of study within the college, it has grown alongside the advent of Aether-powered machinery. Currently headed by Dean Eugene Lauser.
Culture
The Arcaea College fosters a strong spirit of learning and discovery, and encourages cooperation and collaboration among its students and faculty in the interest of expanding on each others knowledge. While primarily a Myrian institution, the Arcaea College accepts students from throughout the human kingdoms of Imera, and beyond. As an institution founded with the intent of studying magic and safely training mages, much of the colleges curriculum is primarily focused on magic, though a number of other subjects are also studied here.
Public Agenda
The Arcaea College was established to provide mages with a place where they can safely hone their abilities, as well as to expand on Mortalkinds knowledge of magic, its history, and its related phenomena.
Assets
The Arcaea College recieves regullar funding from the kingdom of Myrell, as well as other benefactors, with the funds being used both to maintain the college and its facilities, and to fund any research conducted by the college. Additionally, the college has a wealth of knowledge on a number of subjects, particularly anything related to magic.
