Chapter 8

We head towards Deldrin and become familiar with the guilds and political structure of the city. Moreover we meet Vaneili and Nishvalen. We explore the enclave of the Twilight Garden before heading into the ruins of the ancient library and finding all sorts of preservative, protective, and exploratory magic including that of an ancient War. Finally - a direct audience with the Empress and a token that will allow any sworn elves to seek communion with her. She welcomes Bran to her as the first sworn human and greets Kadia as a sister, allowing her to walk with Hella always. Deeper we encounter magic-drinking bats who allow us to pass. Above ground again I am struck by a Collective assassin’s bolt and plunge into unconsciousness only to regain memories of failed negotiations and then a fight in the Dreaming itself. I find council in Thalien and Dal and kill the assassin in the Dreaming before I return to my waking family and a new friend, Camellia.
