Chapter 21

Hella and I set out to Drognar to deliver aid and support. On the way we find Void and Mystery, the spitting image of Mistress and Doraal. We all make it to Drognar and spend several days tending to people and growing closer with Mystery. Nina has gathered a following as she takes on the burden of leadership in fighting and healing. On the way back to Dreamfall Void leaves us and tells me to keep Mystery safe from the people hunting her. He leaves her some personal items he has been keeping from her and leaves me a book of dragon essence magic, which Magdalena thinks is presumptuous and rude. As Spring creeps up on us, Camellia and the other Spring fae go to sleep beneath our tree. I recuse myself to my new cottage and spend two weeks tinkering with magic for the sheer joy of it, emerging with a song I can play directly out of my heart.
