Tira and Lyssa call a family meeting in the Dreaming and give grave news - the Storm has passed from the Valley but now it spirals outwards in its death throes. The worst winter we have ever seen will arrive shortly. My family leaps into action as an array of communication networks lights up to tell anyone we can reach as we hasten towards Dreamfall. As the winter storm hits, Magdalena crashes through the canopy and gives me and Andstella a history lesson on ancient fae. She teaches Alder to better use his shadow abilities and speaks with me seriously about what I have become: Undying? We begin to lay plans to expand the Empire and we defend the grove from horrifying ice beasts, including the corpse of a true dragon. The aftermath leaves Dawn wounded such that we must transform her into a true fae of Day and Night. Miriam grapples with the idea that she and Alder may not have a happy future together as siblings due to her human lifespan.
