Chapter 19

The young fae Lesili, introduces me to the Vanguard (their name for themselves) and their leader: Andstella. She leads me deeper in the Dreaming to her own tree, different from the Seasonal trees in the Northern Grove. She asks me to help her leave from her trapped home deep in the thicket and I agree, but first we try to understand this new tree together. After offering it my blood I am asleep for weeks as it transforms me into a fae myself. When we finally emerge using Alder's newfound shadowgate abilities, Kadia is in prison and we decide it is simplest to just break her out and flee towards Dreamfall with the Vanguard around us. I finally meet with Bran in the Dreaming and he gently tells me that my future thread moves away from sacrifice and closer to a a brighter future where we don't lose anything to gain another.
