Spindle from Bran

Heiassa,   I need your help in a formal Hand of the Empress kind of way. I managed to catch up to Spindle and I'm bringing him back to Drognar but he's in REALLY bad shape. He nearly died in the mess but Rikka was a tough little dwarf… she defended him when the mob knocked him senseless, taking numerous blows meant for him. The mob tried to make an example of her - a dwarf calling an elf Master as though she were his property rather than recognizing the respect she shows him as his student. Spindle recovered from his wounds but Rikka didn't.   He packed up his shop and left… his thread feels unattached, aimless and weak. With purpose, I think he'll live long enough to recover but he lost so many people on the other side of the Barrier… Rikka was evidently the first person he'd accepted into his life since coming here. He was talking about formalizing her apprenticeship in the fall, but now… I've tried what I can, one maker to another, but he's content with his achievements and he's starting to believe that his craft is destined to die without an heir. He's giving up.   I didn't want you to be surprised and I wanted to give you time to think. I don't believe he's lost entirely, but I can't see anything more than hope if it can become tangled with purpose.   Bran
