Songwood from Ipthina

Heiassa,   I'm glad all is well. I feel like you left us too soon. I know that you have your reasons, but I don't feel that I've taught you nearly enough of the healer's art. When you've finished what you must, please return for a while - I have much I wish to share with you.   The seed looks like the seed of a Songwood tree. They're an offshoot of Eldritch trees, but bred to have no spirits - rather, they respond to the songs of Trolls particularly well, allowing a Troll Song Master to easily guide and shape the tree to their will. Few have been cultivated outside of the Troll's ancestral forest - it's impressive you managed to come across a viable seed. Wherever you plant it, ensure that it's kept well away from Grove or Eldritch trees - it's magic competes with ours as opposed to the harmony achieved between Eldritch and Grove trees.   As you travel, I'm happy to be your resource for understanding the plants and herbs you find - consider it an excuse to write more often when times are happy.
