Osyr Report to Ikshafael

Ikshafael,   I have laid the six to rest. We freed the Crystal Spires and left it recovering from hostile magic that kept it sealed in the Dreaming. By now I hope that the magic has dissipated entirely and I'll be going to check on it in the coming weeks.   In crisis, the Osyr Mirin worked magic to lay several hundred Osyr to sleep and weather the storm. Kadia's teacher, Ava, kept many students safe. I believe that they will all be awake and well when I return. This is a report I make with fear in my heart that I will find my hopes dashed but...the few of you who remain deserve to know that this happened regardless of how it resolves. I will send word again as soon as I am able.   Further, if you can send back any knowledge you have of an inland sea once thought of as potential shelter, please do. The particular area was drained of magic and turned to a barren desert known as the Desolation (perhaps by Collective races before they were bound to the Ancient Enemy) but in traversing it we found a deep pool of water with signage around it that sparked my curiosity.

  In the storm that overtook the land during the winter the Desolation filled with icy water and it is now once again a freshwater inland sea. The water is well below the point of freezing but remains liquid and infused with magic. Flying over it, I saw the music of the Longing writ in the sky above it. Whatever has happened here is beyond my understanding and the understanding of any of my companions. It may be beyond you as well; who am I to say.   I enclose all the notes of my students who were able to spend more time there than I. Kadia can give you the full report as necessary and I'm sure she will have much to say. Have fun with the mystery!   Lastly, I thank you for the attention to Alwen.
