Letter to Lord Evhura

My lord,   I am so pleased to be able to return Senegalensis to you and the Empire. He was such an asset in the army and it is my hope that he is willing to return to such a position. By all accounts he is a credit to you and your family.   Such a personal favour from me to you is possible only because of the work I have been able to do on this side of the Barrier while Mistress Artem’Isia’Kel and Lord Do’Angelim’Kal have fought to defend the Empire from the Collective. I look forward to your continued support of my family’s actions; I am certain there is no further proof I could offer of the value of our work than the safe return of your son and the reams of reports and new allies my family carries back.   It is my most sincere hope that perhaps I have offered you a thorough understanding of the alternative to my current course of action: Families that will remain severed from one another until death, lurking danger that will block our path should we ever move East, and an ever-widening gap between the supposed Will of the Empress, in whose darkness we strike, and her actively wielded Sword and Staff.
