Letter to Doraal

Little brother,   I’m going to dig my sharpest daggers into the eyes of whichever fool cursed you…though if Mistress got to him first there might not be anything left for me to play with. I hope what I've sent will help.   I’ve found a scattered seed of yours over here. I haven’t met her but I found a human who was taught by Aspen. The human, Vedrah, is the first human not of my family to swear oaths and I left her presiding over the first town I found when I crossed over. She is their official town gardener.   Can I have Knotrael? I know I joked that I planned on keeping him but…he and Tira and Alder are so sweet together and I’m not letting you have either of mine so I need to steal yours.   Brother, I wish I could bring you here to my grove and let you experience the unique shade of these trees. It is something special, something I know you would love.   There is one last thing I need to share; I’m sure Tira can fill you in on whatever logistics you need to know. I found a girl here who is the striking image of Mistress and I’ve kept her close from the moment I found her. I felt it immediately and it took just days to confirm it beyond a beam of doubt in mind - she’s your daughter. She calls spirits and she wields a sword like you do.   I’m sure this will give you a brief, precious memory of her but there is magic standing in the way of the rest of it. I’m working on it but it’s not safe to uncover it all yet so please - enjoy what you can. Know that our little shadow is safe with me. Her name is Trillium.   Mistress tells me that she's on her way home; perhaps she'll have arrived by the time you get this. Either way, hold her close for me and take care of each other. As much as you want to, please don't dig deep seeking memories of Trillium - there is magic holding it closed for a reason and I'm working on fixing it.   Until our roots can entangle once more,   Heiassa   P.S. Similar to Mistress’ letter I include dozens of memories of plants and landscapes, the vision of the trees of grown and the one I slept beneath. Each one is both a visual illusion and my voice describing the details. Some of them are Liliales describing things he remembers, or Andstella reminding me of a plant in the Grotto. I have Lyssa tell us about things in the Valley and make Amytri describe things overseas.
