Knighthood from Camellia

Heiassa,   I’m sooooooo sorry I haven’t written! If my little ones could see me out here I think they wouldn’t recognize me but that’s just because I never got the chance to be this kind of knight when I was last a knight. It’s hard to keep moving in the right direction - there are so many people who need help in the aftermath of the storm and it’s too easy to get sidetracked on yet another adventure to deal with the local brigands that seem to grow like weeds, or getting a family on the road to the keep where they can live safely instead of the ruins of their old village, or… yeah, there’s a lot to do!   Oh, and speaking of little ones, I have a new little one! There are still some truly despicable types lingering around the ruins of Ipth and when Zadiyah and I swept through to do some weed whacking we found someone trafficking not only people but exotic magical beasts. None of the poor creatures were in good shape and we’ve been able to get most of them to a place where they can get care to recover before being let back out on their own. There’s one little guy who latched on to me though and he’s the most delightful little handful. The sick son of a bitch who kept him locked up called him a Wyvern - he’s like a mini-dragon that can’t quite fly on his own but glides pretty well once you get him started. He’s got bright purple scales and he’s the size of a big cat, though evidently, he’s not full grown. I named him Iris - his eyes are as purple as his scales and he’s just the sweetest thing.   Zadiyah’s been teasing me about being a Wyvern Knight but I think she’s low-key trying to convince me to go south to see if wild wyverns can be domesticated as mounts for elves since they don’t have wings of their own. I don’t know if that’s a good idea or not, Iris is dumb as a bucket of acorns, but that may just be the result of his youth and the terrible circumstances he grew up in. He’s super affectionate though, so maybe?   I could write a lot, there are so many adventures, but I want to share those stories in person over a nice cup of tea. Well, lots of cups of tea. Good tea. Zadiyah has no appreciation for good tea, she takes hers bitter and strong and I just can’t even.   Hugs for you, Lilliallis and everyone. Camellia
