Ghost Hollow HIll

History

Ghost Hollow Hill serves as a prison for four Undying fae: The King of Summer, King of Winter, Queen of Fall, Queen of Spring. If they had reigned, some fae would live eternally with one song. When a fae would die, they would sing their entire song to a new fae to carry on where it left off.   They were imprisoned here by the The Heart of Song and her other children, the other Undying treeborn. It happened so long ago that it seems like this place doesn't have a past or a future; it simply is.

Appearance

A collection of several hills is wreathed in fog and a seemingly perpetual chill in the air. The highest hill supports ancient stone ruins - a circular arrangement of columns overlaid with wrought iron and vines stands surrounding a pit. A staircase winds around the interior of the pit and descends into impenetrable darkness, even to elvish eyes. The darkness is like a blanket over the area, once you travel beneath it you can see the stairs, though you cannot see the bottom of the pit.   Drawing closer to the pit and even descending into it, whispered conversation drifts out from it: Two men and two women.   The magic of this place is ancestral and adjacent to the Land of the Dead.
