Bloodline Echo: Leaf and Vine

You're unable to place this echo in time, but you can place the location fairly precisely - ancient statues that are near the Weaver's Village show up repeatedly in these echoes.
It begins with memories of a young man tending a Grove of trees in the hills above where the Weaver's Village now stands. An older elf is giving guidance about how to know if the trees are healthy or in need of something.

In the second echo, the young man is introduced to a spring fae who has come with vials containing Grove tree sap, along with carefully wrapped branches and leaves that look like they've snapped or fallen in a storm. The young man asks the older elf:

"Grandfather, do you think we'll succeed this time?"

The old elf shakes his head.

"I've been at this since Galdrilae's grandfather and I found the ruin full of Song stones. Legend says that trees once heard our songs and remembered them. These trees have already learned to hear elven voices - we just need to keep watering them with magic and our songs until they begin to remember."

The next few echoes include meeting again with Galdrilae in different sessions and a visit to an unfamiliar Grove where magic is dense and hills and mountains can be seen in almost all directions. This young ancestor has very little magical talent, but is gifted with growing things.

Moving forward, you see him older, receiving a young winter fae girl who once again has brought precious sap, branches and leaves. The trees have grown larger and their leaves emit faint light. Your ancestor, however, takes the winter fae girl to a stand of much younger trees.

"What are these," she asks.

Your ancestor answers: "The literal fruit of an idea your great grandmother had shortly before she sang her song. She wondered, 'if the trees can hear elven songs, how will they share them with elves? If elves cannot listen, and do not sleep beneath them, how will you complete a cycle? And if no one can ever hear the songs they hold, wouldn't the trees themselves weep at being asked to remember things they can never share? If you cannot change elves to be able to listen, perhaps you should change the way the trees share their songs with elves.' So these trees have been grafted with trees that bear fruit, in the hopes that they could place songs within the fruit."

The last of the echo is dim... your ancestor is talking to a young elven girl in a room full of books. One wall, however, has been decorated like the Hall of Song in Avan'nal, with many dimly glowing stones set into the wall.

"Grand uncle, do you think it's really true? Will the Ossyr really allow us to put these books in their Eternal Library?"

"Child, you know them better than I - but are you sure this is how you want to be repaid for the service you gave them? You're young and this is my calling, not yours."

"Grand uncle... the trees don't hear me at all, and the Fae stopped helping before I was born. At least let me do this, before any more song stones break. I don't know if the magic of their library will preserve the seeds hidden in the binding but at least it will keep the songs and the record of your work..."
