The Stormcrags

Where can you find it?

The Stormcrags is one of the highest places in the Cutter, where you can live for a longer period. However, surviving is a more accurate word for that place than living. It is a perilous place due to its volatile natural conditions. The Stormcrags is halfway between the equator and the temperate climate, and the mixing of these two climates always brings a lot of thunderstorms. Plus, the Cutter itself is full of hazards like rifts and chasms. In theory, these chams shouldn't be an issue for the valturo, as they can fly. However, if a thunderstorm grounds them, they must be cautious where they step, lest they meet their death.

What can be found in this place?

The only notable settlement is the Stormperch nest. For a while, a few valturo families lived here, but they fled the place after a series of natural disasters. The nest was recently rebuilt by the valturo government, and it now serves as a prison.

To what do you need to pay attention to survive in this place?

Safety must be above all for everyone. It doesn't matter what you are doing or how important that activity is, if there is an alarm, you don't question what the alarm is about. You must act quickly to save yourself, and when you are safe, you can ask the questions. Quick action is crucial because a thunderstorm can arrive in minutes, or a fissure can open and bring down one or more trees.
Second, you must help others around you. However, it is essential to help yourself first, as this is the only way to assist others effectively. In this regard, the prison guards have the most challenging task, as they must also care for the prisoners. There are ways to quickly lower the prisoners' cells and put them in a safe place, but this can only be done one by one, and during this task, the guards are exposed to the elements.
The most significant danger, however, is the place itself. A lightning strike can set a tree on fire, or a rift can open anytime under a tree. To combat this issue, the people living here, mainly the prisoners, are tasked with planting new trees continuously and spacing them far apart to prevent the complete destruction of the nest.
I visited that place once. And I understand that the valturo want to punish their criminals, but still, it is inhuman to have them, and the guards live there
