Quiral
The quiral is the weed of the seas. The calamor has been destroying for untold ages, but about two centuries ago, they realized that its traits are qualities when applied correctly.
The coral is an aggressive, more prominent type of coral, and because of its size, it is easier to gather more nourishment than the other corals, grow quicker and broader, and the cycle continues. When it dies, it leaves a strong and thick shell behind it, and this shell is what the calamor started to use in their life. First, they just created small baskets from it by hollowing a sizeable chunk of the shell. It remained strong, and it was tough to break. After that, these baskets grew to immense sizes and nowadays are used on even whales to carry vast amounts of food and other materials. Although these baskets are huge crates, for tradition, the calamor is still calling them coral baskets.
The coral baskets used on the whales are created using a different technic than hollowing the coral. The calamor realized that they could grow the coral to the shape they needed it. They need some base material shaped or put together to resemble the final form they need, and the coral will handle the rest. These base materials are usually bones of sea mammals and fishes, planks of wood from shipwrecks, or even the shell of the coral of the previous generation. The latest invention with the quiral is to merge it with intal to create a hard surface but still have holes to look through it.
Since the first coral basket, the calamor has used the quiral everywhere. They are used in cleaning stations, started to grow houses from it and recently the coral is used in a military equipment too. What the quiral will never be is to become the centerpiece of a coral garden.
Since the realization of what we can do with the quiral, we are actively seeking other potential candidates to improve calamor society
