Ilon was created by The Favoured Daughter, the goddess of new life and The Bright Lord's daughter. In this, he is associated with family... and pain. The Favoured Daughter is blessed, and cursed, to share the weight of childbirth when a mortal prays to her in the birthing bed.
Physical Description
Body Features
In his mortal form, Ilon is a tall, broad, dark-skinned man with a heavily muscled, near-perfect physique without requiring extensive upkeep. An Avatar's mortal body, (and Ilon's in particular thanks to The Favoured Daughter's blessing), is easy to maintain and must always be impressive to behold.
In his Avatar form, he is a being made a pure, golden light, the same that lights his eyes on the mortal plane. This form of light has no discernable facial features, eyes or mouths, or blemishes to distinguish one from another. They stand at around 7ft tall, with arms and legs that are longer than their mortal form, almost as if stretched out.

Personal history
In Ilon's 20 years masquerading as a mortal, he fell in love, and friendship with an aeshir male by the name of Leanter. After nearly a decade in the Divine Realm, he is returned to the mortal plane to carry out his Goddess' wish to protect and assist the very family that Leanter belongs to, in their quest to stop those who wish to take down the Barrier to the Divine Realm.
Gender Identity
Ilon presents as male while on the material plane. In the divine realm, with no sexual organs or feelings any particular way, they are neither male nor female.
Sexuality
When the Avatars were sent to the material plane, they were given the understanding, and ability to mimic the act of sex in order to blend in with mortals. In order to do this, they must "tell" the appropriate body parts to react, by sending blood or fluids to the right location. Despite this, and the lack of true "feeling", sexual or romantic experienced by Avatars, Ilon has only been involved in such mimicry with a male.
Mental Trauma
As an Avatar, Ilon has been told that his emotions are merely borrowed. He has no ability to make, or create them for himself, so any connection he makes on the material plane is not his own. It's fair to say then, when he believed himself in love with a mortal, choosing whether or not to enjoy his time on the material plane, borrowed emotions or not, was a crisis Ilon never came up with a solid answer to.
Now, needing to return to the place he grew up, with a divine purpose, his "borrowed" emotions are returning, and they haven't changed.
