The world begins with the empty void of Ginnungagap, growing from the center of this void is the seedling tree known as Yggdrasil.
This timeline focuses on the Planet of Syrik, and the various eras that encompass the planet.
This era is pre-history, before time was recorded by mortals. It stretches back an unknown length of time. This era represents the era of the over deities during the primordial chaos of their reign
The world begins with the empty void of Ginnungagap, growing from the center of this void is the seedling tree known as Yggdrasil.
As the tree Yggdrasil grows, from its branches sprout a realm of ice known as Niflheim, and a realm of flame known as Muspelheim.
Muspelheim and Niflheim’s energy collide at the center of Ginnungagap, at the base of Yggdrasil. Amid the hissing and sputtering, the fire melted the ice, the water drops formed themselves into Ymir, the first of the godlike Jötunns.
Ymir slept, falling into a sweat. Under his left arm there grew a man and a woman. And one of his legs begot a son with the other. This was the beginning of the Jötunns.
Thawing frost then became a cow called Audhumla. Four rivers of milk ran from her teats, and she fed Ymir.
The cow licked salty ice blocks. After one day of licking, she freed a man's hair from the ice. After two days, his head appeared. On the third day the whole man was there. His name was Buri, and he was tall, strong, and handsome. Buri begot a son named Bor, and Bor married Bestla, the daughter of a giant.
Bor and Bestla had three sons: Odin was the first, Vili the second, and Vé the third.
Buri had an affair with the Jötunn Bestla, this Jötunn, gave birth to the first two Vanir, twins Njörðr and Njörun.
Njörðr climbs the mighty branches of the Yggdrasil, finding a strange, but magnificent pinecone upon the tree, Njörðr places his hand upon this pinecone, causing it to grow into the world of Vanaheimr.
Njörun with child by Njörðr, gives birth to the twins Freyja and Freyr, and two daughters Gefjon and Gullveig.
The children of Ymir seeing themselves as kin climb down to the roots of Yggdrasil, and using their combined powers of fire and ice, build the realm of Jötunheimr.
Freyja and Freyr marry, and travel Yggdrasil seeking a home for their family. Alas through their search they find naught but that which is already home to the other deities, and in an attempt to return to Vanaheimr they become lost, spending the night together they both woke to find that the area that they slept grew into the seed of a new world, Álfheimr.
Freyr somewhat homesick, calls forth rain upon this new world devoid of plants, from the ground sprouts the grass and trees of his homeworld, and from the rain drops off the leaves of Yggdrasil come the Ljósálfar, a light skinned elven race.
With a bang! The universe is created. Planets, are formed, from this mass explosion of positive energy, as well as several lesser deities.
This era began upon the modern deities creation, birthed into the world by the overdeities, these lesser beings began to shape the universe from the chaos, forming worlds with which to live and prosper on.
The three sons of Bor had no use for Ymir and his growing family of brutish giants. They attacked and killed Ymir. So much blood flowed from Ymir's body that it drowned all the other giants except for Bergelmir and his wife, who rode away in a hollowed-out tree trunk floating on a sea of gore to Jötunheimr. All the giants today are descended from them.
From the ocean of blood that Ymir unleashed, flowing down the roots of Yggdrasil sprang forth two new worlds. The underworld realm known as Helheimr. And the dark realm of Svartálfaheimr, where pools of Ymir's blood sprouted forth the Svartálfar, a monstrous, yet dwarven race.
Óðin, Vili, and Vé took Ymir's body to the center of Ginnungagap. From his body, they made the world. Ymir's flesh became the earth, and his unbroken bones the mountains. From his teeth and bone fragments, they made rocks and stones. They used his blood to make the lakes and ocean encircling the world. They raised Ymir's skull over the earth to make the sky and placed a Svartálfar at each of the four corners to hold up the sky. Glowing embers from Múspell were thrown into the sky to make the sun and moon and stars and planets. Ymir's brains were thrown into the sky to make the clouds. Ymir's eyebrows were used to make a fortification around the world, to protect against the giants. Inside the fortification is Miðgarð, the realm of man.
One day, Óðin, Vili, and Vé were walking along the land and came across two trees with their roots ripped out of the ground. One was an ash, the other an elm. They fashioned these into the first man and woman. Óðin breathed into them the spirit of life. Vili provided consciousness, wits, and a feeling hearts. Vé gave them the gifts of hearing and sight. The man was called Ask (ash) and the woman Embla (elm), and they were given Miðgarð in which to live. All the races of men are descended from them.
Bergelmir enraged at what Odin and his brothers did to his grandfather, carves into the world tree Yggdrasil, runes of death, marking Odin’s creation, humans as mortals, so powerful were these runes that not even Odin could remove them. Unfortunately for the other races connected by the world tree, the strength of these runes leaked into their being as well, losing their immortality, but only just.
Frigg gives birth to the god Thor, who’s given as the protector of humankind.
One of the giants had a daughter named Nótt (night her son was named Dag (day). Óðin set them in horse-drawn chariots in the sky to ride around the world. Nótt leads the way, and her horse is called Hrim-faxi. The drips from his bit form the morning dew. Dag follows drawn by his horse Skin-faxi, whose gleaming mane lights up the sky and the earth.
A man living in Miðgarð had a son and daughter so beautiful that he called them Sól (sun) and Máni (moon). Angered by the man's daring, Óðin snatched the children and placed them in the sky to guide the chariots of the sun and the moon. The sun and the moon are always in a great hurry because they are being chased by wolves, sons of a giantess.
Odin and his two brothers build their own realm. Ásgarð is a mighty stronghold, with green plains and shining palaces high over Miðgarð. They built the rainbow bridge Bifröst to link Ásgarð to Miðgarð. The Æsir, the guardians of men, crossed over the bridge and settled in Ásgarð. Óðin Alfaður is oldest and greatest of them all.
This era began with the loss of Harmony, as the deities raged and fought one another, first rebelling against their elders, then looking outward and fighting against those with which is strange and alien to them, and finally turning on one another.
With the loss of Harmony, master of order, and twin of Havoc, the realms are thrown into chaos. Turning the supreme beings against one another as an all out war between pantheons and deities takes place.
A moot of all pantheons is convened, seeking to end the wars between all deities. This moot later to be known as the Divinum Concordia was the birth place of the Syrine Pact, a pact that ended in peace between all deities, and the creation of the Planet, Syrik.
This era began upon the conclusion of the Gods War, with the Syrine Pact formed, the planet of Syrik is created as a united realm for all deities and pantheons to rule over as one.
After several years of debating, arguing, and a few minor wars, the Syrine Pact is formed at the end of the Divinum Concordia, ending in peace between all deities, and the creation of the Planet, Syrik. Each deity took a piece of their own divine realm to form this new planet, fueling it with their divine energy, placing this font of creation in ten orbs of power, known as The Orbs of Creation.
