The Draconis Legion

Prerequisite

• Complete an authorized task taken from the Legion charter board.
• Swear an Oath of Adherence to the Legion
• Payment towards the guild for sign-on fees equaling out to 40% of the reward for the initiation task, this sign-on fee can be no more than 500gp.

Faction Equipment Package

• Sigil of the Legion: This metal disc bears the symbol of the legion, to the trained eye it emanates an aura of magic that glows with evocation magic. This sigil can be used by the higher ranking members to communicate with their charges, and perhaps more.
• Red Watcher Cape, Adventuring Clothes, Sigil of the Legion.

Faction Benefits

• Martial Student: The character gains access to one of the following Fighting Styles: Archery, Defense, Dueling, Great Weapon Fighting, Interception, Protection, Thrown Weapon Fighting, or Two-Weapon Fighting. If you later gain a fighting style elsewhere, you keep both fighting styles and can freely switch between them as a bonus action. You can only have one fighting style active at any one time.
• Attribute Cap Increase: +2 to one ability score of your choice; This boosts the maximum of an ability score, but not the score itself.
• Tool Proficiencies: 1 Tool Kit of your choice.

Faction Signifier

• The character can activate the cloak as a reaction to any creature within 30 feet of them being subject to an attack roll or saving throw, upon activation that creature gains a +2 bonus to Armor Class against the triggering attack, or a +2 bonus to its saving throw against the triggering save. This ability can be used a number of times equal to the wearer's Proficiency bonus, its charges resetting after each long rest.
• The character gains a +10 foot increase to their movement speed.
• The character deals an additional 4 damage on weapon attack rolls
• The character increase one ability score of their choice by one for as long as the cape is worn; this does not stack with other magic items that increase ability scores.

Goals

• To venture out into the wide world, delving into the ruins and holds of the primogens and recover the artifacts of old.
• To protect the people from the corrupting influence of the primogens.
• Take on quests, to aid where we can, and restore order to the land.
• To hold back the dragons return for as long as we can, and be ready for when we falter.

Tenets

• Protect the innocent that cannot protect themselves.
• Those that share in your fight are your blood; do not abandon your family.
• Show courage in the face of fear, but understanding in the prospect of death.
• Remain vigilant, the dragons return will come, and when that day comes, be ready to defend the life and soul of your family.
• Never take on any quest that would harm the Legion or those that we have sworn to protect.
• Obey the call of the masters, their word is law.
• Recover what foul artifacts can be found so that the Legion can protect others from their power.
