Gelasmos ("Γέλασμος" Gélasmos)

Gelasmos is an amorphous goo creature. Studies on this creature haven't yet been fully documented, but it's been observed to be able to absorb materials and add it to it's DNA structure. Once it's absorbed a material or object to itself, it can then transform itself into that object, it's able to expel a seemingly endless supply of liquid goo, and it's heavily advised to stay clear of these creature if you come across one. While seemingly a harmless weak monster at first glance, could be quite dangerous if you underestimate them.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Gelasmos doesn't have much to show about their anatomy. This clear blue colored jelly monster is a perfectly rounded oval shape that you can see through, and doesn't have any visible organs inside of them. We're not sure if this creature is sentient or not or if it's self-aware of it's environment, but it's able to change it size and shape of it's form to mimic something, this could be it's learning mechanism. There are 7 known types of Gelasmos in the world.   1. Water Gelasmos

- Water is their default base form and pretty common to find throughout forests and various lands, and are just referred to as Gelasmos.

2. Fire Gelasmos

- Gelasmos can take on the elemental form of fire and only appears in hot, humid and aired places such as deserts and volcanic regions

3. Electric Gelasmos

- Electric variants have been observed to have tremendous amounts of electricity stored within their body, as such they can create their own electromagnetic field and discharge sparks of electricity that's sure to give you a jolt.

4. Lava Gelasmos

- Unlike Fire Gelasmos, Lava Gelasmos body is made of hot molten lava, researchers are warned to stay away from these variants of Gelasmos as they are highly dangerous by spewing hot lava and rocks everywhere. Sometimes they're mistaken for Fire Gelasmos and can commonly be found around volcanic craters and open lava pockets.

5. Metal Gelasmos

- Despite being a gelatinous malleable goo creature that is soft to the touch, its body turns hard as steel when a hard impact is trying to damage them, many adventurers and travelers have broken their swords fighting this creature, and magic has little to no effect on them.

6. Honey Gelasmos

- This variant of Gelasmos is unique in the fact that it can change it's body to take on the form of sweet sticky honey that it excretes from it's body. Commonly found near beekeepers around trees and beehives, but incredibly docile. It might even be possible for Gelasmos to take on other food forms and flavors.

7. Ice Gelasmos

- This variant of Gelasmos is ice cold to the touch with it's internal body temperature being of around -147°C, avoiding them is recommended as they can drastically change the surrounding temperature of the area around itself and making you freeze to death quickly even with equipment help to keep you warm. They can be tricky to spot in the snow before they jump out and attack.

Ecology and Habitats

These creatures have been spotted to live in forests and near certain bodies of water, sometimes they migrate around the base of a tree, possibly to consume the tree's nutrients. As well as being found in exotic other places in other various forms.

Biological Cycle

These creatures don't ever seem to sleep, or have the need to eat to maintain itself. But they seem to be capable of duplicating themselves splitting off from each other like cells that are dividing into two separate creatures.
